Igora Royal Pearlescence by Schwarzkopf Professional is a permanent hair color line designed to create iridescent, multi-tonal "mother-of-pearl" effects. It is specifically formulated for light blonde and light brown bases to provide soft pastel or bold shimmering tones.

Product Description

The range is divided into three main categories based on the starting hair level:

• Lift & White Refining (6- and 11- series): Provides up to 3 levels of lift on base 6 or lighter, adding multi-tonal pearly reflections.

• Fashion Shades: Richer, intense reflections for tone-on-tone coloring on base 5 or lighter.

• Pastel Shades (P 9,5- series): Vivid but soft pastel tones for use on pre-lightened hair or base 9 and lighter.

How to Use

1. Mixing

The standard mixing ratio is 1:1 with Igora Royal Oil Developer.

• 3% (10 Vol.): Best for pastel toning on pre-lightened hair or coloring darker.

• 6% (20 Vol.): For tone-on-tone coloring or 1 level of lift.

• 9% (30 Vol.): For 2 levels of lift.

• 12% (40 Vol.): For 3 levels of lift (specifically used with the lifting shades).

2. Application

• On Virgin Hair: Apply the mixture to the mid-lengths and ends first. Let it develop for 10–15 minutes, then apply it to the roots.

• Root Regrowth: Apply to the root area first. Let it develop for 15–30 minutes, then refresh the mid-lengths and ends for the final 5–10 minutes if needed.

3. Development Time

• Pastel Toning: 5 to 30 minutes (requires visual monitoring as these shades take quickly).

• Standard Coloring/Lifting: 30 to 45 minutes.

4. Rinsing and Aftercare

Once the time is up, emulsify the color with a little water and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Use a pH-balanced shampoo (like BC Bonacure Color Freeze) to stabilize the color and follow with a conditioner or mask.

Important Safety Note: Always perform a patch test 48 hours before use to check for allergic reactions. Since this is a professional-grade permanent color, it is best applied to healthy, evenly-prepped hair for the best "pearl" effect.
